Houseparty has introduced a new 'Private Mode' function. When using Houseparty, you can facetime friends in a 'room'. If you're room is locked, only people you choose can be there, so you have control of who you are chatting to. If you're room is not locked, strangers can add to the chat. 'Private Mode' means every room will be locked. GOOD OR BAD? Good. 'Private Mode' means every room will be locked. Children video chatting their friends is fine, when they video chat people they don't know it is much more dangerous. A lot of children, however, don't know about this new mode. |
