HELL DIVER 2
MINIMUM AGE: 18
WHAT IS IT? HELLDIVERS™ 2 is an action-packed squad-based shooter game where players command elite soldiers in a battle against alien threats across the galaxy. Played from a third-person perspective, players should know that players have access to various weapons like pistols, machine guns, and flamethrowers, as well as special abilities such as turrets and airstrikes to eliminate enemies. The game also offers a first-person view for enhanced accuracy during combat. It's important to note that the game features intense action with frequent scenes of bloodshed and dismemberment as players engage in combat or encounter environmental hazards like explosions. Additionally, the game's environments may include graphic depictions of violence such as bloodstains and corpses. WHAT WE SAY: Avoid. It has an 18 PEGI rating for a specific reason, primarily due to its graphic content. Single-player Option: THIS GAME IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. However, should caregivers allow their child to play this game, to prevent being paired with unfamiliar players in Helldivers 2, you can activate the single-player option by launching the game, navigating to the "Options" menu, and setting "Matchmaking Privacy" to "Friends Only." Afterwards, simply begin a game without inviting any friends to your party. This action will ensure that you won't be matched with random players during your gameplay sessions. Multi-player with friends: To access the co-op multiplayer feature in Helldivers 2, players must first complete the game's tutorial mission. Although this tutorial is designed for solo play, it offers a concise and beneficial introduction to the game. Completing the tutorial usually takes around 20-30 minutes, after which players will be prepared to join multiplayer sessions with others. To initiate a multiplayer session, players navigate to the Galactic War map, pick a mission, and then opt to either join an existing game or host one themselves. When hosting, players have the option to invite friends or allow the system to fill slots with random players. A more secure approach to playing Helldivers 2 is by teaming up with real-world friends. To invite your friends to join a game, navigate to the "Options" menu and select the "Social" tab. Here, you'll find a "Friends" menu displaying who among your friends list is currently playing the game. Additionally, you can view a list of recent players and add them to your friends list. From there, you can promptly invite them to your party or share your "Friend Code" located at the bottom of the page. Your friends can easily join your gameplay by setting your Matchmaking Preference to "Open to Friends." Conversely, choosing "Invite Only" will necessitate you to extend invitations to other players before they can join your squad. |
SAFETY TIPS TO CONSIDER:
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME FOR CHILDREN (UNDER 18). If caregivers choose to permit their child to play this game, it's advisable to minimise harm by encouraging solo play. If they desire to play with friends, follow the previously mentioned steps, but ensure they're playing with real-life friends known outside of the game environment. It's essential for caregivers to ensure that linked bank cards are not set up for payments in Helldivers 2, especially considering the potential need for Super Credits, which can be purchased with real money. Players earn Warbonds by completing missions and objectives, serving as the primary currency for standard gear purchases. However, for more exclusive items, Super Credits are necessary, obtained through special achievements or real-money transactions. General advice for staying safe when gaming on and offline;
