WHAT IS IT? The open-world sandbox encourages imaginative play and lets players create their own activities rather than following one fixed path. Problem Solving & Logic Jobs, missions, puzzles, and challenges encourage children to work out what to do, explore their surroundings, and experiment with different approaches. Players can also learn to manage their in-game money by choosing how to spend their earnings on vehicles, clothing, homes, and other items. Learning Through Exploration The open-world design encourages children to explore different environments, discover hidden areas, complete missions, and learn how the game's systems work. Playing with the physics and vehicles can also encourage experimentation, cause-and-effect thinking, and problem solving. ⚠️ KEY RISKS 🔞 Access to Inappropriate Content Wobbly Life is designed with a family-friendly, cartoon-style presentation, but it still contains some mild slapstick violence, crashes, and chaotic gameplay. Online multiplayer can also introduce interactions with other players, so the suitability of the experience depends partly on who the child is playing with. 💬 Direct Messaging and Chat Wobbly Life supports multiplayer, allowing players to interact with others while playing. Depending on the platform and multiplayer setup, communication features may allow children to encounter people they do not know. Parents should check the communication and multiplayer settings on the platform being used. 📱 Cyberbullying As with many online multiplayer games, playing with other people can create opportunities for teasing, exclusion, disruptive behaviour, or bullying. Children may encounter players who deliberately interfere with their gameplay or behave inappropriately. 🚨 Online Predators and Grooming Online multiplayer creates the possibility of children interacting with strangers. While Wobbly Life itself is family-friendly, children should still be taught not to share personal information, move conversations to other platforms, or communicate privately with people they meet through games. 📢 Account Safety & Age Verification Access to Wobbly Life and its online features is managed through the relevant gaming platform, such as a console or PC account. Parents should ensure that children's gaming accounts use appropriate privacy, parental-control, and communication settings, and that account passwords are kept secure. 🔐 Privacy Concerns When playing online, children may interact with other players and potentially reveal information through usernames, conversations, or their behaviour in-game. Parents should encourage children not to share their real name, location, school, contact details, social-media accounts, or other personal information. 💸 In-Game Purchases The game includes an in-game economy where players earn virtual money through jobs and activities. Depending on the platform and version, additional paid content or purchases may be available through the platform. Parents should check the relevant platform's purchase settings and consider enabling parental approval for transactions. 🔓 Scams, Unsafe Links & Account Theft Players may encounter scams or attempts to obtain account information through online communities, messages, videos, or websites claiming to offer free items, currency, or other game-related rewards. Children should be taught not to share passwords or click suspicious links, particularly when an offer seems unusually good. |
🛡️SAFETY TIPS:
📲Understand the game Familiarise yourself with Wobbly Life and its features, including its open-world gameplay, jobs, missions, vehicles and multiplayer options. Understanding how the game works will help you guide your child and identify which features are appropriate for them. 👨👧Parental supervision Wobbly Life does not rely on a dedicated in-game parental-control system. Parental controls are primarily managed through the gaming platform, where parents can restrict age-rated content, online communication, spending and play time. Check how your child is using multiplayer features and who they are playing with. Review the privacy, communication and parental-control settings on the platform they use to play Wobbly Life. 💬 Manage Online Communication Wobbly Life supports multiplayer gameplay, so children may interact with other players. Check the available communication settings on your child's console or PC and restrict or disable communication with strangers if appropriate. 💸Limit In-App Purchases Check the purchase settings on your child's gaming account and consider requiring parental approval for purchases. Set spending limits or disable purchases where appropriate to prevent accidental or excessive spending. 🚨Avoid Unofficial Downloads Download Wobbly Life only through official stores and platforms. Avoid unofficial versions, hacks, cheats, modifications or websites offering free game content, as these may expose devices or accounts to malware, scams or data theft. 📢Underage Accounts Make sure your child uses an account with their correct age and appropriate parental controls. Don't allow children to bypass age restrictions or create accounts using false information, as this can expose them to features or interactions that may not be suitable for their age. 👥Manage friend requests Encourage your child to play with people they know and trust. Teach them not to accept friend requests or invitations from strangers simply because they have met them in Wobbly Life. 📷 Cover the Webcam When Not in Use If your child uses a webcam while gaming or communicating, consider covering it when it is not needed. Remind them to be aware of what can be seen in the background, as images can unintentionally reveal personal information or location clues. 🧠 Trust Your Instincts Teach your child that they can leave a game or stop communicating if another player makes them feel uncomfortable. They should not respond to suspicious, aggressive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour. 🖥️ Place Devices in Shared Spaces Where appropriate, keep internet-connected gaming devices in shared family spaces rather than bedrooms. This can make it easier to support children and notice concerning interactions or behaviour. 🙋♀️Conversations: Talk regularly with children about online gaming, including bullying, grooming, inappropriate communication, exploitation, privacy and how to report or block other players. Make sure they know they can come to you without fear of getting into trouble. 🚨 Know the Signs of Trouble Look out for significant changes in behaviour, such as increased secrecy, anxiety, distress, mood changes, reluctance to talk about gaming, or suddenly avoiding activities they previously enjoyed. These signs do not necessarily mean something inappropriate has happened, but they are opportunities to check in and offer support.
