WHAT IS IT?
It’s a child-friendly gaming app where kids can play simple, age-appropriate games featuring familiar characters from popular shows. The app is aimed mainly at children aged 8 and under.​

• Offline play, so it can be used without internet once downloaded

• No adverts
• No in-app purchases
• No extra fees (included in a Netflix subscription)

It’s essentially a curated, child-friendly space for games, similar to how Netflix has a kids section for shows.

Why it existsNetflix created Playground to give families a single, safe place where children can “watch, learn and play” with their favourite characters.

📲 Understand the app
Familiarise yourself with Netflix Playground and the types of games available. Explore it together so you understand how your child interacts with the content and what they enjoy.

👨‍👧 Play together (co-use)
Spend time playing alongside your child. Talking about what’s happening in the game can support learning and help you guide safe, positive use.

💸 No in-app purchases - but stay aware
Netflix Playground does not include ads or in-app purchases, which reduces risk. However, always check your overall device and app store settings for added peace of mind.

🚨 Download from official sources only
Only download Netflix Playground from trusted platforms like the App Store or Google Play to avoid unsafe or fake versions.

📢 Use age-appropriate profiles
Ensure your child is using a Netflix Kids profile so they only access content suitable for their age.

🖥️ Use devices in shared spaces
Encourage children to use the app in family areas like the living room. This helps you stay involved and aware of their activity.

🧠 Balance screen time
Even with child-friendly apps, it’s important to balance screen use with:

• Reading
• Physical activity
• Family time

Talk regularly about what your child is playing and how it makes them feel. Encourage them to come to you if anything confuses or upsets them.

🚨 Know the signs of concern
Although Netflix Playground is designed for younger children, watch for changes such as frustration, withdrawal, or excessive use, which may signal it’s time for a break or more guidance.
