MINIMUM AGE: 3+
WHAT IS IT? A kid-safe messaging and video call app where children can only talk to people their parents approve. It’s not open social media - it’s more like a closed family communication space with fun, child-friendly features. It is often used as a first step into digital communication, helping children learn messaging skills in a safer, supervised environment. WHAT WE SAY: Safe, but discuss safety tips with children. WHY PARENTS USE IT Parents often choose Kinzoo because it:

SAFETY TIPS:
🔒🏠 Helping your child stay safe on Kinzoo – visit the Kinzoo Safety & Privacy guidance to understand how the app works and how it keeps communication within trusted circles. Knowing the platform helps you guide your child more confidently. 📢 No strangers / private network by design – Kinzoo is built so children only connect with approved family members and trusted contacts. There is no open social feed or public discovery, which significantly reduces exposure to unknown users. However, it’s still important to regularly review who has been approved on your child’s account. 👨👧 Parental supervision & account setup – Parents or guardians are involved in setting up and managing the child’s account. Make sure you regularly review:
👥 Managing contacts carefully – Encourage your child to understand that they should only interact with people they know and trust in real life. Even though Kinzoo limits contact to approved users, it’s still important to regularly check and confirm who is on their contact list. 📷 Video call awareness – During video chats, remind your child to be mindful of what is visible in the background. Personal items, school uniforms, or location clues should not be shared unintentionally. Encourage them to use neutral or safe backgrounds where possible. 🧠 Trusting their instincts – Reassure your child that if anything in a message, call, or interaction feels uncomfortable, they should stop immediately and tell a trusted adult. Even in safe apps, respectful communication boundaries are important. 🖥️ Healthy device habits – Where possible, encourage use of Kinzoo on shared family devices or in common areas of the home. This helps naturally support safer online behaviour and makes it easier to stay involved. 🚨 Recognising changes in behaviour – Stay alert to signs that something may be wrong, such as:
💬 Keeping communication open – Regularly talk about online safety, kindness in digital communication, and how to ask for help. Reassure your child that they can always come to you without fear of punishment if something online feels wrong or confusing.
